What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site recognise your browser between page loads —
which is how a shopping cart remembers what is in it after you click through to another product.

What we use them for

Strictly necessary Keeping items in your cart, keeping you logged in, remembering your currency and cookie choice, and protecting checkout against fraud. The site does not work without these, so they cannot be switched off.
Preferences Remembering things you have chosen — recently viewed products, wishlist contents, whether you dismissed a banner.
Analytics Counting visits and seeing which pages and products people actually look at, so we know what to improve. This data is aggregated.

Some cookies are set by services we rely on — the payment processor sets its own cookies during checkout to detect fraud,
and our hosting provider sets one to route your request to the right server. We do not control the contents of those.

How long they last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last from a few days (cart contents) to about a year
(your cookie preference, so we do not ask you again on every visit).

Controlling cookies

Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block future ones:

  • Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
  • Safari — Settings → Privacy
  • Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security
  • Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the cart and checkout. Blocking the others only means the site remembers less about you.
